To Enter Bottled Water Industry
In 2000, bottled water companies sold roughly $5.7 billion-worth of bottled water, statistics have said. The bottled water industry is burgeoning, and Miss Beverly Hills, Inc. has entered this lucrative sector by marketing its own specialty branded bottled water line, known as MBH20.
The Company plans on leveraging its brand name to develop a diverse line of specialty branded bottled water targeting all demographics.
We feel that our entrée into the bottled water industry is indicative of the versatility of our capabilities, said Dr. Conrad Loreto, Chief Executive Officer for Miss Beverly Hills, Inc. This new initiative taps into a thriving industry, and is only the start of things to come.
In 2001, every American consumed nearly 19.5 gallons of bottled water. That number was nearly two times the bottled water consumption a decade earlier. The market itself has shown growth of 81% from 1998-2003, statistics have said. In 2000, fruit beverage volume grew 1.4%, beer 0.8%, carbonated soft drinks 0.5%, and bottled water grew 9.9%.
Miss Beverly Hills, Inc. is poised to tackle this explosive marketplace. They have already entered into negotiations with several bottled water distribution and labeling companies, and are planning to begin rolling out their product within the next three months.
