The new SweetWater Guardian purifier system has been approved

The new SweetWater Guardian Purifier System has been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and will be available for sale in June of 2001. The SweetWater system offers fast and easy water purification, protecting against viruses. The system includes a SweetWater Guardian Microfilter, a 2-ounce bottle of ViralStop solution, and a bonus-value Platypus 2+ bottle (80-ounce/2.4 liter) for pure water storage.

The Guardian Purifier System works in three quick and simple steps in all water conditions.Pump the water through the Guardian Microfilter.Add 5 drops of ViralStop solution for each liter (34 ounces) of water; mix for at least 10 seconds.Wait 5 minutes. No slow or double pumping or long wait times required.ViralStop, a chlorine-based solution, inactivates viruses faster than iodine purifiers without the associated health risk or bad taste of iodine. The 2-ounce spill-proof bottle treats 80 gallons (303 liters) of water. The system’s methodology is proven: chlorine is used to treat over 95% of all tap water in the U.S. and is recommended by the Federal Emergency Management Agency as a method of water purification.

Other Key Features of the Guardian Purifier System with ViralStop:The SweetWater Guardian Microfilter’s 0.2-micron labyrinth depth filter removes Giardia & Cryptosporidium protozoa, parasites, and virtually all bacteria (99.9999%) from water. The high-leverage Lexan handle reduces pumping force by 75%, delivers water on both strokes, produces over one liter per minute, and folds flat for compact storage. The Pressure Release Valve protects against bacterial push-through.The exclusive Filter Replacement Safety Indicator shows when it’s time to replace the filter cartridge. The granulated activated carbon in the Guardian microfilter produces water that tastes and smells clean. The Guardian Purifier System kit includes the microfilter, purifier solution, Platypus 2+ liter bottle, two color-coded silicone hoses, water bottle adaptor, 80 micron prefilter, filter cleaning brush, foam float, and carry bag.
