PEP introduces new revolutionary backwash filter
PEP is introducing its new filter series, the InterSeptor. This filter offers the most revolutionary design in media filtration in the last 50 years. It combines two proven technologies: hydro-cyclone separation and depth media filtration. Using a tangential inlet, water enters the filter in a swirling motion which separates the larger particles from the liquid. The water then flows through the Unigran 20 media that removes particles 0.50 micron and larger in a single pass.
This blend of technologies produces the most efficient performance in filtration to date. The InterSeptor's conically designed vessel, and unique 360-degree Annular Ring Fluidizer system provide enhanced forward flow through the media and the most thorough backwash of any media filter. In backwash, water is forced out the V-Notch Annular Ring at the bottom of the vessel into the media chamber where it is directed up the side of the conical vessel, a fully flooded backwash of the media is achieved allowing no dead space for biological growth. The radial bed fluidizer backwashes the media in 90 seconds -- the result is less water used for backwash.
The InterSeptor is offered as a complete package, including a system matched pump, 0.50-micron media, automatic backwash valve system, and Nema 4x control panel, all mounted on a epoxy coated steel base.
